Control of Intelligence Services
Each country has its own way for controlling its intelligence services. Generally, intelligence services can be in fact and according to law controlled by:
- the government (do the services do effectively what they are supposed to do?);
- the parliament (do the services do what they are not supposed to do?);
- courts;
- courts of auditors;
- the media and other informal factors.
