Open Source Intelligence – OSINT
Open sources do not include only the publicly available printed and electronic media but also a whole range of sophisticated, little-known procedures, which often "hide" valued data about which we often do not know beforehand. After the advent of the internet (and after the fall of many dictatorships in the world), the open sources became even more important. The data from the open sources comprise a great part in the databases of intelligence services. Open sources can provide satisfactory answers, with a higher level of generality of analyses, to some issues.
OSINT is practically without risks, but there is the danger of drowning in information.
