Who We Cooperate With
We cooperate with other intelligence services of the Czech Republic as well as with determined foreign intelligence services.
Our Czech partner services are the Security Information Service and the Military Intelligence. To achieve the most effective execution of our mission the activity of the services is mutually and continuously coordinated. We have to complement our activities with regard to the scope of responsibilities of particular services defined by the law.
We also cooperate with the National Security Authority. On an application by the National Security Authority we participate in security checks carried out by the National Security Authority. In these cases, however, we execute only part of the security checks by acts resulting from our scope of responsibilities. Complete security checks are executed by us only in case of our officers or applicants for admission to our service. We cooperate with other state bodies within the scope of task execution defined by the law.
Our relations with intelligence services of other countries are a part of bilateral and multilateral relationships of the Czech Republic. They may be established only with Government consent. UZSI foreign cooperation within Euro-Atlantic area is based on a partnership of democratic countries sharing the same basic values. We maintain contacts with services of dozens of European, North American, Asian and African countries as well as with NATO.
The objective of the international cooperation is the exchange of information in the field of common interests. The exchange is based on mutuality and is executed through written reports as well as through meetings with experts of partner services.
The main field of the cooperation comprises multinational and global issues affecting most countries regardless of their geographical position, form of government or national interests. These issues are terrorism, various forms of political extremism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their components, economic crime, illegal migration etc.
